Great way to show that often, just going with the flow, is the most calming thing to do. Save the energy for fights you can actually win.

Great writing, as always.

Lovely. I can picture this. I hope for more frequent moments of acceptance like this. And for that brief moment of human connection.

If only that behavior was the norm rather than the exception. My last job was 20 minutes away on back roads, few if any other vehicles. Meditation was possible, if only just listening. Thanks for the exception.

One day I was driving in rush hour traffic. I was behind a car that was speeding up and slowing down, it was irritating. The next chance I had to go around the car I swung around and was next to him. I looked over and to my surprise it was a clown. Big orange hair, red nose, and makeup. I laughed at myself and thought, those Big shoes make driving difficult.

As much as I enjoyed this sweet reminder that we can determine how we experience even daily glitches, I was snapped out of my focus on your poem by the annoying need to, 'check my email for authorization to comment'. Since I am recognized as a paid subscriber, why? It breaks the mood and I hate it. It makes paying not worth it. :(

I'm sorry that message popped up. This is the first I've heard of it. I've never seen it as part of any of the Substacks I subscribe to. I don't know why it happened. I'm not in control of that. But I'll ask Substack support about it to see what's happening.
