Traffic-jammed and unmoving on the I-90 bridge, I look over at the driver in the car next to me. He smiles and shrugs. I smile and shrug. We're both going to be late for whatever we were supposed to do next but neither of us are worried about it. This little moment of calm almost feels meditative.
