Earlier today I was lamenting a plethora of lights
very tall soccer feild lights intruding on my desired capture of outrageously big and bright clouds silohuetting the Western edge of our scenic Santa Catalina Mts
with my camera and went ahead and shot them anyway and just now
you posted THIS !
SO romantic and a little sad .
I used to sneak out of the house at night as a restless teen.
Watching my shadow shrink as I approach a streetlight and then lengthen as I keep walking past
again and again down the sidewalk going faster as I break into a run
almost everyone at home the place felt like mine to enjoy alone,
Thank you
It is such a gift to be able to recall so accurately something from long ago. "Emotions recollected in tranquility".
Sweet!
A gift…
Thank you, Becky.
Very nice, Man!
Thanks, Danny,
Interesting, provocative and dark with hope
That’s a beauty, plain and simple.
Thank you, Mr. Himmelman
Just as I was getting my courage up to read this you cast some magic. So lovely.
Sent you a curveball!

Wow! Thanks for the transport back to my young self. I miss her sometimes.

You truly have a way with words.
Thank you.
Gorgeous poem. Thank you!
Thanks, Beth.
It almost seems like you are bringing back tradition attention to form with a free verse look to it. Good use of meter and line. I like this.
I define myself as a free verse poet who consistently employs formal elements. I love a surprising rhyme. Thanks!
Beautiful imagery
Thanks, Steve.
