At night, we sprint from streetlight to streetlight until we are exhausted. Then, beneath the last streetlight, we illuminate as we kiss. This is one tender way how we defend ourselves from all the darkness.

Earlier today I was lamenting a plethora of lights
very tall soccer feild lights intruding on my desired capture of outrageously big and bright clouds silohuetting the Western edge of our scenic Santa Catalina Mts
with my camera and went ahead and shot them anyway and just now
you posted THIS !
SO romantic and a little sad .
I used to sneak out of the house at night as a restless teen.
Watching my shadow shrink as I approach a streetlight and then lengthen as I keep walking past
again and again down the sidewalk going faster as I break into a run
almost everyone at home the place felt like mine to enjoy alone,
but to share a kiss..........
Wow! Thanks for the transport back to my young self. I miss her sometimes.
