Wow. I had a dream last week about my dead father calling me and I wrote a poem about it. Reading your poem here felt like looking in a mirror. Here's the poem:

What war did your father die from? Im. seventy. It seems to me we have been at war since I was a child.
Those basketball uniforms though!
