Such a beautiful short. It was a wonderful read. Kinda put me in the mind of When Harry Met Sally. Thank you very much for your word work and the truth in your sharing.
Wonderful friends, indeed! As I was sipping my coffee this morning, discovering this little gem triggered a retro ad jingle: "The Best Part of Waking Up Is... Sherman and a cup, of coffee." Ta-da!
At 50, I met my husband in a coffee shop in NYC on an OKCupid date. He had flown from Norway just to see me, with the fib that he was coming to New York to visit his publisher. He is also very tall, and looked nothing like his photograph, and at the end of the movie, we did wind up together. I think you've discovered a trend.
I love this one. And it's so interesting! This incident has made another Emil out of you, Sherman! Suddenly you WERE a shadow or a resonance or an idea of Emil, at least for a good short while (smile). Everybody wants to call you "my Emil" (laughter)!
Imagine going out for a bite later, and the Chef is Emil, and comes to your table to inquire about the 5* cuisine. You'd have to say something???
Native privileage - at least you're tall, covers a plethora of deficits, haha! You're friends are a riot!!
So nice not having to worry about swimming in those waters anymore. I write love poems to my husband. ❤
Dating apps are shallow. Your friends are deep.
Your wife’s a lucky woman.
Thanks!
hahahahhahah love this Sherman ❤️
Thank you, Nicole.
I laughed out loud! Such a perfect premise. (Emil!!! 🙄 That poor woman doesn't know what she missed).
Thanks, Jennifer.
ah! real friends, equal a full life ! enjoyed this short read ;)
Thanks!
Huzzah!! Huzzah!!
Thanks, Lenora.

Harry Met Sally! Such a great movie. Thanks for comparison! If only I could write a screenplay that good.
YOU are the best!☺️

What a great story!
Hey you told it first!
This is rich! You know a lot about dating apps. Do you know of any for people brushing close to 80 yo? Thanks as always!
Thanks!

Hahahha. Thanks.
I later expanded my imagination and maybe this incident can possibly be a good beginning of your new Kafkaesque story.
Ha! You're my Emil.
Yup! Funny!
