I just heard your memorial to your friend. My iPad wasn’t working before. Today I went to a huge memorial service at Holy Apostles Church for a woman I didnt know personally. Tonight Smoke Signals was on TV. A miracle. I loved that movie. Now I’m watching The Last Emporer, another miracle movie. It’s March and I wore my coat. It’s going to be colder tomorrow and Monday. Strange day. My neighbor fixed my iPad. Hope you’re okay. Violence sucks. I’m not going to watch the Oscars.
We listened today as a family to the amazing tribute and the wonderful story. Thanks for sharing this. It is so visual that I can "see" it. I am sorry for your loss and the world’s loss as well, but glad his poetry is still here for us to read and grateful for your story.
I didn't have a chance to express my thanks for your new Thomas story a week or so ago, but it was so interesting to hear you give voice to Thomas. He is one of my favorite characters in The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heaven. He is a powerful character that I have spent considerable time thinking about.
Dear Kathryn, thank you for the kind words. If you’d like to read an appreciation of Bob’s poetry, you can read this piece by John Yau at https://tinyurl.com/BobHershon
So sorry for your loss, Sherman. Thanks for sharing Bob with us. I think "magic and mystery and mistake" about summarizes life as I have experienced it.
As always, your grief and sentiment are projected through the beautiful magic of your elegant prose. Thank you for inviting us to glimpse a special moment with your friend.

Thanks so much. I'll check it out.
Deep condolences. Such a wonderful tribute to your friend. May we always retain that wonderment!
Thank you, Colette. I’m not sure how that word, “wonderment,” arrived for me. I don’t think I’ve ever previously used it.
Out of the blue... something that never happened before! It's the perfect word! Wonderment!!
I love this. I love that crystallized moment and special memory of a time with a person so special to you. Perfectly rendered.
Thank you, Rebecca.
Beautiful.
Thank you, Joan.

"A majestic imperfection". If that's not aspirational for a life goal, I don't know what is. I'm sorry for your loss, Sherman.
Thank you, Tim.
Great!
Thank you.
I love this so much.
Thank you, Kim.
