After weeks of inertia due to my ankle injury, I rejoin the world. This means that I can drive. And, so, today, I drove my wife and older son to one event and drove our younger son to another event. Ordinary stuff, I know, but, on most days, the ordinary is plentiful. On most days, we should call ourselves blessed when we can perform the simplest of family chores.
I'm getting ready to do a simple family chore...getting my daughter to visit with me for a couple of days...I live on an island off the NE coast, she lives in Boston...she is not very independent and cannot negotiate public transportation...we've been estranged for many years...so, this visit is a big deal...I'm doing door to door for her...round trip boat and car rentals...I'm looking forward to her visit...
